Ukraine Discussed Guarantees Over Nord Stream 2 with US and Germany

Following the completion of Russia's Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, the energy ministers of Ukraine, the United States, and Germany met on Monday to discuss guarantees for Ukraine's future as a transit country. Ukraine's energy minister said the discussions focused on Ukraine's future.

ROSEN Establishes Its Own Hydrogen Testing Capabilities

The energy industry as a whole has come to realize the potential of hydrogen as a viable alternative to fossil fuels. T.D. Williamson Completes First MDS Pipeline Inspection in Kenya

TDW performed the inspection on a new, 20-inch diameter refined multi-product transmission pipeline that runs 450 km (279 mi) from Mombasa to Nairobi using TDW multiple dataset (MDS) technology. The pipeline is owned and operated by the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC).

MSA Safety And Shell Continue Their 30-Year Partnership

MSA Safety announced it has been named a preferred supplier of portable gas detection equipment for Royal Dutch Shell.  This is part of a three-year agreement to supply portable gas detection equipment and other safety technology to Shell’s offshore and onshore facilities and installations worldwide. The agreement continues the 30 years of cooperation between Shell and MSA.

Pipelines are the Most Economic Option for Hydrogen Transportation

In Europe for distances of up to around 10,000 km, hydrogen transport in pipelines is the most economical option. The “European Hydrogen Backbone” (EHB) study states specific transportation prices of approx. 0.16 €/kg per 1,000 km, with pipelines almost fully utilised.

The First SmartPlug® Isolation Was Performed By T.D. Williamson In Offshore Nigeria

T.D. Williamson (TDW), the global solutions provider, completed its first SmartPlug® isolation in offshore Nigeria, working for a major operator through its local partner, Strides Energy & Maritime Ltd. (Strides). Isolating the 267-km (165-mi) natural gas pipeline enabled the safe change-out and leak testing of platform valves without depressurizing the system.
