Approval of the Ostsee Anbindungsleitung (OAL) pipeline's first section

The Bergamt Stralsund granted approval for the first section of the Ostsee Anbindungsleitung (OAL) pipeline. The approximately 50-kilometre-long pipeline will connect the planned LNG terminal in the port of Mukran with the German gas pipeline network in Lubmin. The completion of the construction work is scheduled for the end of 2023.

Eni and SLB team up to improve Pipeline Integrity Monitoring and Analysis

Italian energy company Eni, through its subsidiary Enivibes, and US-based technology company SLB announced an alliance to deploy e-vpms®, a vibroacoustic pipeline monitoring system capable of providing real-time analysis, monitoring and leak detection for pipelines around the world.

Largest Subsea Chopsaw for Pipeline Cutting launched by Decom Engineering

Decom Engineering (Decom) has invested more than $1.2 million to develop its largest Chopsaw to date in response to client demand for larger sized subsea pipe-cutting capability.

The C1-46 Chopsaw has been designed to be useable in water depths of up to 2,000 meters and can cut pipes up to 46” of a wide range of materials in any orientation.

Japanese Mitsui & Co. acquires 100% of Pipeline Service provider STATS Group

The Scotland-based pipeline service provider STATS Group and the Japanese company Mitsui & Co have agreed over the purchase of 100% of STAT Group’s shares.
