Seeing Europe Pull The Red Card, Russia Turns To Africa

For nearly six years now Nigeria has been trying to interest Europe in a 5,660-km gas pipeline that would transport Nigerian natural gas to Morocco and ultimately to Europe. The intention was to assist Europe in becoming less dependent on Russian gas.

Virginia Natural Gas To Deploy Drones For Pipeline Infrastructure Inspection

Virginia Natural Gas (VNG), one of four natural gas distribution companies of Southern Company Gas, announced it will be using aerial drones as another means to perform equipment inspections on its pipeline infrastructure.

Concawe Report on European Cross - Country Pipeline Performance Published

Illegal Pipeline Tapping in Nigeria Leads To An Explosion Killing Over 100 people

A horrific explosion at an illegal oil refining depot on the border of Nigeria's Rivers and Imo states has led to the deaths of over 100 people.  These individuals were burned beyond recognition.

The bunkering site was in the Ohaji-Egbema local government area of Imo state in the Abaezi forest that straddles the border of the two states.

Construction On The Gas Inter-Connector Poland-Lithuania Has Been Completed

The 508-km, 27.5 inch, bi-directional Gas Inter-connector Poland - Lithuania (GIPL) has been completed and partial shipments of gas will be made available on 1 May 2022.  The GIPL will integrate the gas systems of the Baltic Sea region into the internal EU gas markets in line with the EC's energy security strategy.  Its construction started at the beginning of 2020.
