As a longtime exhibitor of the pipeline technology conference (ptc) in Hanover, Germany, NDT Systems & Services will join ptc 2013 as Golden Sponsor. After its successfully completed restructuring by transfer, the high-tech company headquartered in Stutensee will retain the excellent and proven business contacts and will economically rev up. The new management is planning to secure the Stutensee location as well as to expand the international activities of the company.

By April 1st, the NDT Systems & Services GmbH & Co. KG, international technology leader in the field of ultrasonic inspection systems for the oil, gas and steel industries based in Stutensee near Karlsruhe, has been taken over by the Weissker Group, an international, mid-sized business holding based in Greiz in Thuringia in east-central Germany.

The New CEO Dr. Holger Schmeisser is firmly convinced that the acquisition will allow NDT to maintain its technological superiority, focus on quality service, and develop the international activities of the company. “NDT is now better able to exploit its market potential”, he announces. “We want to build on this technological strength and use our own expertise to ensure a sustained economic success for NDT in the future, in the best interest of our customers and our employees", says Stefan Matthaei on behalf of the Weissker board. Restructuring measures, organizational changes and the implementation of corporate business planning processes lead to significantly improvements of the company's efficiency.

"NDT’s technological strength is primarily built on the competence of the employees", Mr. Matthaei stated. "We will increase the potential inherent in the NDT products and the global sales of the company by using our resources and knowledge of the pipeline business to build on that strength. We are planning active growth for NDT by targeting new customer groups in North America, the Middle East, Russia, and in the gas sector." As a first step, the NDT Group will enhance its workforce in Germany and its various worldwide locations. More than 80 specialists will be employed in all locations worldwide within the next months.
