Nord Stream, Sabotage And The Greater European Marine Energy Infrastructure

After nearly two weeks of spewing out an estimated approximately 778 million standard cubic meters of toxic methane gas from three separate ruptures in the Nord Stream 1 & 2 lines on the Baltic Sea floor, the Danish Energy Agency said yesterday that the leaks have finally stopped.

$6.6 Billion Mountain Valley Pipeline Still Uncertain After Inflation Reduction Act

A $6.6 billion natural gas Mountain Valley Pipeline long advocated by Democratic U.S. Senator Joe Manchin in his home state of West Virginia is facing bipartisan resistance on Capital Hill and will not be afforded preferential treatment.

Germany To Nationalize The Country's Largest Gas Importer

Germany has begun to nationalize gas importer Uniper in the wake of an energy crisis that has left the government of Europe's top economy with few other options to keep its industry going.

Germany is set to buy Fortum's (FORTUM.HE) 78% stake in Uniper and inject a further 8 billion euros ($8 billion US) into the energy group that is expected to give Berlin a stake of more than 90%.

Three German Refineries Affiliated With Russian Rosneft Under Trusteeship

To strengthen security of supply and to ensure the continued operations of oil refineries in Schwedt an der Oder, Rosneft MiRo and Bayernoil, Neustadt an der Donau, the German government has placed these three refineries under trusteeship as it seeks to manage and attenuate the impact of the ongoing energy crisis.

EU Ponders A Future Sans Russian Pipeline Gas

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz raised hopes last week when he championed the construction of a gas pipeline connecting the Spanish and French gas grids.  Scholz said such a pipeline would help wean Europe away from its reliance on Russian energy.

Central African Countries Champion 6500-km Of New Pipeline Construction
