California State Regulators Fine SoCal Gas for Pipeline Safety Violations

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has fined SoCal Gas $2.25 million for 45 safety violations found during inspections in the Mid-City and Harbor area in April and May of 2015. Nigeria’s crude oil production had declined from 2.2 million barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day due to pipeline vandalism.

Construction Commences on Trans Adriatic Pipeline

Construction has begun on the 48 inch diameter Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) which will deliver 10 bcm/annum of new Caspian gas supplies to Europe from 2020.

The TAP, which constitutes the European leg of the Southern Gas Corridor, will ensure Europe’s energy supply as well as diversifying its energy sources.
