The inaugural Pipeline Technology Conference Asia (ptc Asia) concluded with outstanding success at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, attracting 1,123 participants from 41 countries. Building on two decades of experience from the EITEP Institute’s global flagship event, the annual Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc) in Berlin, ptc Asia marks a major milestone in expanding the brand’s global reach.

What began as a vision for a focused, high-quality regional forum has rapidly evolved into a new meeting point for Southeast Asia’s pipeline community. Over three days, the event featured training courses, a rich technical conference program, and a lively exhibition hall with 30 exhibiting companies, creating an energetic environment for networking, knowledge sharing, and business development.

“To see more than a thousand professionals come together for this first edition is truly overwhelming,” said Dennis Fandrich, Chairman of ptc Asia and Member of the Management Board of the EITEP Institute. “It shows that the Southeast Asian pipeline community is ready for its own international platform for collaboration and technical exchange.”

Beyond its technical program, ptc Asia placed strong emphasis on professional development and community building, highlighting initiatives for young and female professionals and introducing the ‘Volunteer at ptc Asia’ program, which engaged Malaysian students and early-career engineers in event operations.

All technical papers from the event will be archived in the Pipeline Open Knowledge Base, EITEP’s open-access repository containing more than 1,000 technical papers from 20 years of ptc conferences.

Encouraged by the outstanding response and level of engagement, the organizers have announced that ptc Asia will return to Kuala Lumpur from 18–20 November 2026, once again at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

“This first edition has clearly demonstrated the strong need for a regional platform of this kind,” said Marian Ritter, Member of the Management Board of the EITEP Institute. “Together with our partners and participants, we look forward to building on this fantastic momentum next year.”
