DT Midstream Completes $1.2B Acquisition of ONEOK Gas Pipelines
DT Midstream, Inc. said Tuesday it has completed its $1.2 billion cash acquisition of three natural gas transmission pipelines from ONEOK, Inc.
The company said the transaction closed on Dec. 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
The sale represents 100% operating ownership in the Guardian Pipeline, Midwestern Gas Transmission, and Viking Gas Transmission pipelines, which span nearly 1,300 miles across seven Midwestern states. Combined, the pipelines can transport more than 3.7 Bcf/d.
"The bolt-on acquisition of these premier pipelines is fully aligned with our pure play natural gas strategy," said David Slater, DT Midstream president and CEO, adding the acquisition also boosts the revenue contribution from their pipeline segment.
Slater also welcomed the employees who support the acquired assets both in field operations and at DT Midstream's new Tulsa office. The Company said the acquired pipelines serve the "attractive Midwest market region."
DT Midstream operates, owns, and develops natural gas pipelines, storage and gathering systems, compression, treatment, and surface facilities. The company transports natural gas for utilities, power plants, marketers, industrial customers, and energy producers across the Southern, Northeastern, Midwestern U.S. and Canada.
